Chris Smoak's Smokescreen does exactly what it says: enable Flash content to play on Apple's iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad. Sort of. Here's how Smokescreen gets around using a Flash plugin as described by Simon Willison:

Can't say I'm surprised to hear that Apple rejected this Wi-Fi Sync app. The app that allows you to wireless sync your iPhone / iPod touch with iTunes without having to USB tether to your computer. Altering Apple's synchronization technology is a pretty big offence as demonstrated by Palm's webOS bluff. Here's the rejection as explained to Greg Hughes the creator, spoken by an unnamed Apple rep over the phone:
"While he agreed that the app doesn't technically break the rules, he said that it does encroach upon the boundaries of what they can and cannot allow on their store. He also cited security concerns."So while you won't find it in Apple's App Store, it will make its way to Cydia as expected for a cool $9.99. You have jailbroken your device haven't you?

How to Jailbreak Apple iPad using Spirit
In the video, Alex shows us how to jailbreak the brand new iPad or iPad 3G using the new jailbreaking application called Spirit. Spirit is an extremely easy and fast way to download Cydia and apps. Note: You must have iTunes 9 or above for this to work.
What’s Spirit?
- Spirit is an untethered jailbreak for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch on the latest firmwares.
- Spirit is not a carrier unlock.
- If you currently are using a tethered jailbreak, you have to restore to use Spirit. Do not upgrade if you use an unlock on an iPhone 3G or 3GS. (You can, however, restore to 3.1.2 if you have SHSH blobs for that version.)
Requirements
- Any iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch on firmware 3.1.2, 3.1.3, or 3.2.
- An activated device: one not stuck on the Connect to iTunes or Emergency Call screen.
- Any version of iTunes 9 (including 9.1.1).
- Syncing with iTunes before trying this highly recommended.
